What the document says
The BVLOS proposal was published on August 7, 2025. On January 28, 2026 the FAA reopened its comment period, to February 11, 2026, for comments on electronic conspicuity and right-of-way. Some commenters asked for that reopened window to be extended. This notice denies those requests.
What changes in practice
Nothing. The reopened comment period closed on February 11, 2026 as scheduled. The notice does not change the proposal itself.
What it does not do
It does not propose any new BVLOS rules. It does not amend Part 107. It does not change any operational requirement for remote pilots. The notice briefly summarizes the proposal and explains why FAA denied additional comment time. It does not adopt or amend operating rules.
Does this affect the Part 107 exam?
This notice changed no Part 107 operating or certification requirement and announced no change to the knowledge-test standards.
